Reds place 3B Rolen on DL
ST. LOUIS(AP) -- The Cincinnati Reds have put newly acquired third
baseman Scott Rolen on the 15-day disabled list because of
concussion symptoms.

The Reds made the move Tuesday.

Rolen was hit in the helmet by a pitch from Colorado's Jason
Marquis on Aug. 2, two days after Toronto traded him to
Cincinnati.

The 34-year-old Rolen had a battery of tests on Monday. This is
his third concussion and he's been bothered by headaches and
dizziness.

Rolen is batting .143 with a home run and two RBIs in four games
with the Reds. He hit .320 with Toronto.

Outfielder Chris Dickerson was activated off the 15-day DL from
a shoulder injury and was in Tuesday night's lineup, batting
leadoff against St. Louis.
